Charlie was born Dec. 23, 1832 in Jefferson Co. TN. Our earliest record of him is the
purchase of the legal right to sell an invention--an improvement in churns--in his
area in 1858.
Soon after, he married Marguerita Ann Brown on April 2, 1858 [sic]. By 1860 they were in Denison TX with the birth of their first child. From county records you could deduce that Charles was the biggest land wheeler-dealer of all the Andrusses. He did well. Charles served the Confederacy in the Civil War in the same outfit as his brother Dop. He died in Denison TX in 1891. -Merriam Morrison Kokojan, 1985 Andruss Family History |
